4 Simulation and analysis

This chapter describes the different options in MigriX for running simulations, viewing results and exporting them as grids, animations or tables.

Simulation results can be plotted in the form of map for layers and/or sublayers, along profiles, in wells, as flowpath streams, as Drainage Areas statistics and in the TrapViewer. Important simulation result types include source rock maturities, expulsion and hydrocarbon migration.

To select a specific property for visualization, simply make your choice from the Project Workspace panel. MigriX will then promptly update all visible elements in the 3D view to reflect your selection. Any result that can be displayed in the 3D view can be saved as a grid by simply right-clicking on the relevant layer and opting for "Save Property As Grid..."
