5.2.6 Profiles

Profiles are created from the 3D view by using the <RMB> menu and selecting one of the Show Profile options. Profiles can be either through a digitized point (E-W or N-W), along a picked flowpath or along a digitized line. The new profiles are added to the Profiles folder in the Project Workspace view. The active profiles can be viewed either in the 3D view or in the Profile window. The profile view and 3D view follow the same colour scale. The min/max values can be changed from the <RMB> menu either of the views. It is not yet possible to save profiles between project sessions, but we plan to include this in a future release.

The selected profile can be dragged around in the model by pressing <ALT + LMB> and moving the mouse. The profile geometry and properties will be updated when the mouse is released.

The properties for the selected profile can be changed in the Profile Properties pane (Figure 5.12) in the Project Workspace. The user can turn on/off horizontal and vertical mesh lines in the profile and 3D view. It is also possible to filter out (make invisible) the cells with undefined and/or out-of range values.
