1.6 Reporting problems

In order to address your problems, we will need a description of the issue and information about the program version you are running. We may also need a copy of your project file (subfixed .mirp in the migri directory) and the corresponding log-file (subfixed .mirl). In some cases, we may ask you for a copy of your model (see information about how to extract a copy of the model below)

The preferred way to submit problems is by using the issue tracking system available on the Migris support pages. Alternatively, you can send the report to us by email to support@migris.no.

Create a small MigriX project from a larger geometry

Use the procedure below to create a project with a smaller geometry (area of interest):
  • Pick two points representing the corner points of the new geometry. Select the Draw labels option in the Selection Info toolbar
  • Open File/Modify Project and click on the Next button
  • Enter a name of the new (small) project in the Project name field.
  • Click on the Create new AOI button and select the "AOI from corner points" option.
  • Click on the Finish  button to create the new model.

Transferring a full MigriX project

In order to send a project to another user so that it can be run there, files in the project directories need to be extracted and moved into e.g. a zip archive.
  • Select the Extract Project Files... option from the File menu and choose which project  you want to extract. The project will now open.
  • After loading has finished, the Extract Project dialog will appear. This  lists all the input files that will be included in the extracted project.
  • Click on the Extract button to start extracting the project.
  • Migri will now create a subfolder projectname_extr in the Destination path directory containing all the extracted project files.
  • The extracted project can now be copied to a different machine or be compressed into a zip archive.
